Role: Batching Operator Location: St. Andrews, New Brunswick Hours: 10-hour shift- 4 days a week (2 days - 2 night). What you'll do The Batching Technician is responsible for preparing and monitoring the batching process through automated systems in a control room environment. Control Room Monitoring & Operation: Monitor batching processes in real time using computerized control systems and screens. Operate automated batching systems to initiate, adjust, and complete production runs. Track system alerts, alarms, and process deviations and respond promptly Batch Preparation & Execution: Verify raw materials, lot numbers, and quantities before initiating batches, input or select correct formulas/recipes in the batching system, ensure materials are dispensed, blended, and processed accurately through automated controls Operational tasks: Executes a broad range of operational activities and processes (such as discharge, load, transport, clean, label, operate all equipment), to execute stages in production, contributing to a safe, effective and efficient production processes. Reporting: Logs data and information on production orders and activities in the appropriate systems to have a complete administration and insight in the state and progress of production orders Continuous improvement: Signals deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems and flags opportunities for improvement with supervisor, to continuously optimize and improve operational (work) processes, tools and systems and participate in improvement projects Safety & Compliance: Works in compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and quality regulations and procedures, as well as operational standards. Promotes awareness and signals potential hazardous and or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations Who we're looking for At least 2+ years of solid background in manufacturing with experience in production management Previous experience in the aquaculture industry is an asset Able to operate all types of equipment and machinery that requires advanced specialized. You'll also need Ability to work in 10-hour shift- 4 days a week (2 days - 2 night).
