Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Batcher to join a premier manufacturing organization in Guelph, Ontario. In this essential role, you will be a key contributor to the production team working out of a dynamic mix room to prepare top-tier industrial sealants, foams, firestop products, and adhesives distributed globally. This Permanent position offers a fantastic Monday-to-Thursday schedule (7:30 AM to 4:30 PM) with an early departure every single Friday, allowing you to maximize your weekend and achieve an excellent work-life balance. As a Batcher, you will step into a fast-paced and physically demanding manufacturing setting. While the mix room is a climate-controlled environment designed for safety and efficiency, it is inherently a dirty environment due to the raw materials and compound dust involved in chemical blending. A successful Batcher must be comfortable with heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds, which can be consistent at times throughout the shift. This permanent opportunity rewards your hard work with a competitive starting wage of $23.00 per hour, an alluring weekly bonus tied directly to team productivity, and structured wage increases based on your performance and experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Operation of industrial mixing equipment and compounding machinery to blend raw materials safely
  • Monitor and ensure that each mixture meets the exact predefined consistency, density, and color requirements
  • Utilize a forklift to safely move around large vats, chemical drums, and heavy staging pallets within the facility
  • Follow strict chemical recipes, technical specifications, and measurements for batching to eliminate product waste
  • Document production logs, batch records, ingredient lot numbers, and material usage accurately into the system
  • Clean, maintain, and sanitize mixing tanks, tools, and raw material feeding lines to prevent cross-contamination
  • Collaborate closely with the broader production team and shift supervisors to meet daily manufacturing output targets
  • Adhere to all plant safety standards, including the proper handling of raw chemicals and wearing correct PPE

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, or construction role
  • demonstrating the capability to handle consistent heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Flexibility to work out of a dirty environment in a specialized mixing room while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Possession of a valid forklift certification or demonstrated forklift skills is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills to interpret complex material safety data sheets and batching recipes
  • Reliability, punctual attendance, and a dedicated commitment to workplace safety and team-wide production goals

Nice to have

Possession of a valid forklift certification or demonstrated forklift skills

What we offer

  • Competitive starting hourly compensation of $23.00 per hour with clear pathways for performance-based wage increases
  • Attainable weekly productivity bonus structure that rewards you financially for hitting collective manufacturing targets
  • Incredible shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with an early out every Friday to start your weekend early
  • RRSP matching at 4%, 100% paid health and dental benefits
  • Life insurance
  • Standard two weeks of paid vacation plus an additional 40 hours of paid time off to use completely at your own discretion
  • Full-time, stable, and permanent employment directly on our client’s payroll from day one
  • Secure workplace set in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Gain invaluable experience within a globally recognized leader in the specialized industrial adhesives and sealants market
