Job Description

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and statewide. We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic medical practitioners to join our team as a Basic Physician Trainee Year-1 in the Medical Workforce for the 2027 Clinical Year. Positions are available for Medical/Physician training. Successful trainees will be offered a wide selection of general and speciality rotations within a major teaching hospital, a smaller metro hospital (Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital campus), and a two regional hospital (Bendigo Health & Grampians Health - Horsham).

Requirements

  • A commitment to high quality patient care
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
  • An ability to communicate at all levels
  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum two-year post-graduate medical experience.
