Job Description

We are looking for an experienced BAS-EMS Engineer to join a pharma project based in Boxmeer, Netherlands. This role combines hands-on automation scope definition with delivery coordination in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and deliver BAS/EMS automation scope, combining technical content creation with delivery management activities
  • Support and coordinate manufacturing automation and IT systems across the site
  • Work with process automation and data acquisition systems in line with ISA-95 Level 2/3 standards
  • Collaborate closely with vendors, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
  • Ensure solutions comply with GxP, GAMP, and SDLC requirements and documentation standards
  • Support and follow hybrid working arrangements, including onsite presence and vendor coordination
  • Facilitate workshops, resolve issues, and actively drive project progress

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing automation or IT systems delivery roles
  • Proven experience with process automation and data acquisition systems (PCS, PLC/SCADA, Data Historians)
  • Exposure to Siemens-based environments
  • Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Zenon, and/or Aveva/OSIsoft PI
  • Understanding of Automation/IT networks and ESX hardware virtualization platforms
  • Experience in regulated industries or willingness to gain knowledge of GxP, GAMP, and SDLC
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate vendors and business stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Nice to have

Knowledge of Siemens PCS7 is an advantage
