Job Description:

Bartender position at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman focused on creating memorable and unique guest experiences through excellent beverage service. The role involves preparing drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, processing payments, and delivering the luxury service standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand.

Job Responsibility:

Engage with and serve guests
Retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals
Manage bar program efficiently and profitably according to hotel specifications
Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles
Set up and maintain cleanliness of bar, bar unit, tables, and tools
Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
Transport supplies to bar set-up area
Wash soiled glassware
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
Process all payment methods
Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies
Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
Complete closing duties

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years bartending experience
Luxury hotel experience preferred
Customer and team oriented with engaging customer-focused personality
Ability to carry up to 50lbs
Hospitality Graduate or Certified Service Professional
WSET or equivalent qualification
Advanced knowledge in alcohol, spirits, wine & cocktails
Required food and beverage serving experience
Ability to show evidence of creativity in cocktail program design and execution
Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
Experience processing cash payments
Knowledge of applicable food and beverage laws and regulations
Excellent guest service and communication skills in English
Experience with POS System (Oracle Hospitality Symphony desirable)
Able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions
Flexible working hours, weekends and holidays availability
Ability to stand for longer periods
Must be 18 years or older
