Reporting into the Assistant Bar Manager, you will be responsible for exceptional service and attention to our guests through providing outstanding knowledge of mixed drinks, wines and spirits, as well as preparation methods. Responsibilities will include taking orders from guests seated at the bar area, preparing and serving beverages ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons standards, respecting the Hygiene standards applied in the Bar as per HACCP system, taking care of any special requests while offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste and preparation methods, anticipating guest needs, ascertaining satisfaction, and making suggestions, and accurately closing guest checks.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu according to established recipes and Four Seasons Standards
Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
Check completed orders with the guest’s original order
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
Maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks
Provide knowledge of wines, spirits and mixed drinks including origin, taste, and preparation methods
Maintain an accurate inventory count, process log entries for voids and spillage, cut and prepare fruits and other beverage garnishments
Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments
Requirements:
High school education or equivalent experience
At least three years bartending experience in luxury environment
Familiarity with current beverage trends
Exposure to international markets
Ability to pour, mix and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits and mixed drinks
Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to multitask with excellent organizational skills
