Job Description:

The MKT Bartender is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, assuring each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. This key role provides guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide quality beverage product that ensures guest satisfaction
  • Take food & beverage orders, and prepare drinks with a high degree of sophistication
  • Review drink tickets entered by servers and prepare each order to their specification within specified service standards and times
  • Recommend cocktails and wines to be paired with food items offered in the bar and adjacent restaurant
  • Recommend beverages (wine & spirits) based on guest preferences
  • Maintain strict serving and sanitation guidelines consistent with State, Local and Four Seasons requirements
  • Adhere to all Four Seasons standards – inside the Bar as well as out
  • Work efficiently while maintaining a harmonious relationship with employees at all levels of the organization

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of bartending experience in high volume, upscale environment
  • Luxury experience is preferred
  • Extensive wine, cocktail, and food knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of point of sales systems required
  • Micros Symphony knowledge preferred
  • Bartending/mixology certification is preferred
  • Must be able to easily prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required
  • Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required
