Job Description

This position is responsible for taking and preparing all drink orders for guests and beverage servers. Must maintain the bar area ensuring it is stocked, ready and clean. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations. Responsible for ensuring the operational viability and profitability of the bar.

  • Taking and preparing all drink orders for guests and beverage servers
  • Maintaining the bar area ensuring it is stocked, ready and clean
  • Greeting guests and team members eagerly
  • Assisting with guest questions regarding promotions, events, specials
  • Maintaining attendance to ensure coverage
  • Maintaining Departmental log(s) noting unusual occurrences, incidents, equipment failures, safety issues, disputes
  • Serving as a role model to staff and management
  • Helping maintain a comfortable, clean, and fun workplace
  • Interacting with customers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Being mindful of ways to save/generate revenue for the casino
  • Knowing and following all casino policies and procedures
  • Attending all required meetings
  • Following all city, county, state, federal & tribal laws
  • Assisting all staff and leading by example
  • Able to multi-task and serve multiple guests and beverage servers at one time
  • Must know cocktail/bar mixes and follow all recipes for all drinks
  • Up-sells all products
  • Knowing and promoting current casino events and programs
  • Using the 10/5 rule
  • Basic knowledge of Micros POS systems
  • Keeping the working area clean and organized
  • Completing all assigned duties

Requirements

  • Prior customer service in a demanding environment preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Must maintain good posture and poise
  • Previous bartending experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six (6) months bartending experience in a full-service bar and/or restaurant
  • Must be able to provide documents to show eligibility to work in the United States
  • Required to pass a drug test
  • Required to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission
  • Must obtain and maintain a Liquor License
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and push, pull or drag up to 150 lbs.
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays and overtime as needed
