The Barley Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of barley to meet production demands. This position serves as the central link between suppliers, logistics teams, and production facilities, focusing on managing transport logistics and optimizing delivery schedules for cost-effectiveness and reliability. The goal is to maximize supply chain efficiency while coordinating seamlessly with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Job Responsibility:
Arrange cost optimal transport from suppliers to the production plants via barge, train or trucks
Monitor shipments and handle any issues or disruptions to deliveries, so barley is delivery on time and in full
Manage time processing and correctness of the invoices
Make sure necessary documentation such as quality reports, transport documents and invoices are shared in timely manner
Develop and maintain short- and long-term barley supply plans based on production forecasts, seasonal availability, and inventory targets
Liaise with barley growers, cooperatives, and procurement teams to confirm delivery timelines and volumes
Track contract compliance and manage supplier performance metrics
Monitor barley inventory levels across storage and production sites
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare regular reports on supply status, forecast accuracy, and planning KPIs
Work closely with production, quality assurance, and procurement teams to align supply plans with operational needs
Support sustainability and traceability initiatives related to barley sourcing
Identify and implement improvements in planning tools, workflows, and communication channels
Contribute to digital transformation efforts in supply chain planning
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or related field
2+ years of experience in agricultural planning, logistics, or supply chain coordination
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in planning software and ERP systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Knowledge of barley production cycles and agricultural sourcing is a plus
Fluently in English and French, other languages are a plus
