Job Description:

This barista position is part of the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Responsibilities include preparing food and coffee, maintaining work areas, ensuring operational equipment, and providing exceptional customer service. Marriott values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

Complete opening and closing duties
set up, stock, and maintain work areas
input customer orders into the MICROS system
prepare food and beverages
clean work areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment throughout the day
maintain accurate cashier reports and resolve discrepancies
welcome and assist guests
ensure appliances are operational at appropriate times
adhere to safety and operational standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
no related work experience
ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, moving up and down stairs, and standing for extended periods
clear and professional communication skills
adherence to safety and security policies
positive working relationships and teamwork
visually inspect tools and equipment
fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
professional appearance and adherence to company standards
