We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista to join our team at Lombardi Restaurant, one of Queenstown’s most iconic dining destinations. Overlooking Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables, Lombardi is known for its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and refined yet relaxed approach to hospitality. In this role, coffee is more than a beverage; it’s an experience. You will bring skill, consistency and personality to every cup, creating memorable moments for our guests from the first sip.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee to consistently high standards
Deliver warm, engaging and professional service in line with luxury hospitality expectations
Share your knowledge and passion for coffee while engaging with guests
Support service across the restaurant and bar when required
Maintain a clean, organised and visually polished coffee station
Take pride in presentation, attention to detail and teamwork
Requirements:
Proven barista experience, with strong technical coffee skills
Experience in a high-end café, restaurant or hotel environment
Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
A positive, can-do attitude with a natural sense of hospitality
Willingness to learn, grow and develop within a premium venue
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
You will need to hold working rights for New Zealand
Nice to have:
Bar and beverage knowledge (wine, spirits or cocktails) highly regarded
