Job Description:

We're looking for a Barista to join our catering team. On a daily basis you'll be serving coffee for up to 500 staff members and also support with food service in our restaurant. We're looking for a confident Barista who's got a minimum 1 year experience, you don't need to be an expert in latte art but have a passion for great coffee! You'll need to be a team player, great with customers, organised and efficient, have great timing and a can-do attitude.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delight customers by greeting them in a friendly and professional manner
  • Efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks to standards
  • Share the story of our menu, and provide recommendations to customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surrounding areas
  • Follow all health and safety and food safety guidelines
  • Monitor stock levels and restock supplies as needed
  • Use till systems for taking payments and customer orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
  • Assist on other tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista
  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Great work ethic
  • Good listening & verbal communication skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ability to adapt to challenges with a solution-oriented perspective
  • Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is often a plus
  • Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
