Job Description:

Your local store is looking for a minimum 16hrs per week Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant. From the first coffee poured to the final smile shared, every moment in Pausa is a chance to brighten someone’s day - and you’ll be right at the centre of it all.   • Oversee the preparation of all coffee and hot beverage orders, ensuring consistent quality in every drink while following established standards for recipes, portioning and presentation
  • Complete mise en place and set up the caffetteria station for service, always maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment as per HACCP, correctly dating products and ensuring all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
  • Help check pars and assist in implementing plans and actions to reduce waste, while ensuring all guests receive the highest levels of service and beverage excellence consistently
  • Participate in the preparation of coffee and beverage items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe standards, as well as portion and presentation guidelines
  • complete mise en place and set-up of the coffee station for breakfast service
  • Start beverage items that can be prepared ahead of time, ensuring production levels do not exceed estimated needs
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean coffee machines and related equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, milk steamers, juicers, blenders, and all tools used in beverage preparation
