Job Description:

The Barback position at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, assisting with guest service, and supporting the team to ensure a high standard of quality and safety.

Job Responsibility:

Complete opening and closing duties
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas
Follow company and safety policies
Report accidents and unsafe conditions
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge guests
Assist individuals with disabilities
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations
Read and visually verify information
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Reach overhead and below the knees
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
