At Mad Nice, new ideas meet timeless, classic technique, with an unexpected modern Italian menu, surrounded by coastal chic decor and mid-century design with smooth, sophisticated service in midtown Detroit. The Bartender Assistant is an integral part of the team at Mad Nice. They are responsible for executing set standards of service and making sure our guests have the best possible experience. The Bartender Assistant is a key team member that will have a huge role in the efficient day to day operations. This will be an environment with plenty of room to grow and learn. The beverage program at Mad Nice features classically driven cocktails inspired by the California coast, Italian Soul with a Detroit sauce. Our menu will be ever evolving with the seasons and focused on using fresh ingredients and local produce. Along with a full bar offering we will have a modern Italian menu featuring wood fired pizzas, naturally leavened breads and handmade pastas.
Job Responsibility:
Restocking Bar essentials and maintaining cleanliness at the bar
Resetting the bar with the proper items in a timely manner
Filling and refilling waters for service
Polishing flatware, glasses and restock
Juice/Prep needed items for the Bar
Deliver Food/Drink to Guests in accordance with Heirloom Standards
Assist the Support Team where needed
Understand the importance of community outreach and contributing to the neighborhood
Requirements:
0-1 years of experience
Willingness to learn and teach
Desire to grow knowledge and craft
Strong passion for hosting and cultivating an incredible guest experience
Consistently care about the smallest details
Energetic team player
Adhere to recipes and standards
General understanding of Food, Liquor, Wine and Beer with a passion to continue a higher level of understanding
Ability to follow and execute steps of service
Drive to be organized
Ability to maintain menu knowledge - including recipes, product recognition, etc.
