Job Description

Are you a Bar Supervisor looking for the next step in your F&B career? We are searching for a skilled team leader to be our Bar Supervisor, someone who will help to oversee all aspects of our busy hotel bar. This is a hands-on role so you will need to be comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with service. An incredible Grade I listed Georgian Mansion that was built in 1710 and served as the residence of the Assize Judges from 1806 to their abolishment in 1971, Judge's Lodging personifies York's history. Located in the heart of the city between The Minster and the river, Judge's Lodging welcomes guests with two restaurants and 21 grand bedrooms that retains some of their original features. A dedicated team provide an excellent service to guests whether that be hosting celebrations or enjoying a weekend enjoying the local area. Owned by Daniel Thwaites, Judge's Lodging is perfect for someone looking for a supportive work environment, amongst the busy bustle of a charming cultural city.

Job Responsibility

  • Serving excellent drinks, taking orders and looking after guests
  • Supporting with stock ordering and management
  • Helping to manage staff levels on shift to meet payroll budgets
  • Motivating team members to maintain standards
  • Being the point of call for any management issues

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working within a busy bar and restaurant with exposure to supervisory or management duties
  • Wine knowledge is advantageous with a passion for food and a genuine desire for providing excellent service to our guests
  • Flexible with the times you can work because our business is open all day every day
