Our Bar teams are all about creating unforgettable guest experiences and always striving to be the best at what we do. We are looking for a creative, innovative and engaging Bar Manager to add to our already legendary teams in some of our most premium venues across multiple of our Sydney venues. This role will suit a passionate and experienced beverage driven professional, who truly understands what being hands-on means! Coming into the business as a Bar Manager, you will have the opportunity to express both your creativity as well as your organisational, communication and people skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Creating unforgettable guest experiences

Requirements:

  • Experience managing large teams of bartenders and bar team leaders
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment, overseeing multiple bar operations
  • Exceptional product knowledge and ability to drive consistency and excellence
  • Influencing, coaching and presentation skills
  • Business and operational acumen
  • Knowledge and skills to develop staff around product knowledge, service skills, team culture and guest relationships

  • Ensure operational efficiency by consistently meeting budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Monitor labor costs and the bar’s overall budget
  • Maximize bar profitability and maintain effective controls, developing and implementing cost-saving and profit enhancement measures
  • Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures for the management team. Revise procedures as needed based on experience and sound judgment to accommodate unusual situations
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and short/long-term financial operating plans for the bar
  • Open and/or close the Bar daily according to established standards and guidelines
  • Follow and enforce cash handling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Assist Management with any tasks necessary for successful Bar operations
  • Lead the entire Bar team through overseeing and participating in hiring, training, supervision, management, coaching, counseling, and evaluation
