Job Description:

The Bar Manager at W Sydney will lead the operations of the Living Room bar, ensuring smooth team management, exceptional guest experiences, and financial success. This role includes curating the beverage program, managing inventory and compliance, training and engaging a team, and driving revenue through creative promotions. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences while upholding W Hotels' commitment to innovation and excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee daily operations of the Living Room bar
manage financial goals, including revenue and profitability
curate beverage program and beverage lists
ensure compliance with labor, beverage, and liquor laws
monitor inventory and costs
develop menus and promotions
recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team
deliver memorable guest experiences
ensure adherence to service standards and procedures
communicate critical hotel information with talent and guests
actively participate in hiring and performance management.

Requirements:

Experience in bar operations or a similar leadership role
knowledge of local, state, and Federal labor, beverage, and liquor laws
financial management skills, including budgeting, revenue management, and cost control
ability to curate beverage programs and manage inventory control
strong team management and interpersonal skills
capability to deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences
high motivation and ability to recruit and engage a team
effective communication skills with team members, guests, and peers.

Knowledge of market trends in the beverage industry
