Job Description:

The Bar Manager at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is responsible for creating a unique guest experience, maximizing financial performance, and managing daily operations of the bar/lounge. The role involves promoting the bar/lounge, managing staff, implementing beverage policies, and ensuring high guest and employee satisfaction. The manager will also handle inventory, develop menus, and provide excellent customer service.

  • Ensure operational efficiency by consistently meeting budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Monitor labor costs and the bar’s overall budget
  • Maximize bar profitability and maintain effective controls, developing and implementing cost-saving and profit enhancement measures
  • Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures for the management team. Revise procedures as needed based on experience and sound judgment to accommodate unusual situations
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and short/long-term financial operating plans for the bar
  • Open and/or close the Bar daily according to established standards and guidelines
  • Follow and enforce cash handling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Assist Management with any tasks necessary for successful Bar operations
  • Lead the entire Bar team through overseeing and participating in hiring, training, supervision, management, coaching, counseling, and evaluation
