Job Responsibility

  • Lead the Team: Manage a team of 1-20 staff, making sure everything runs smoothly, from set-up to finish
  • Stock Management: Keep track of inventory, reduce waste, and ensure we’re stocked and ready for each event
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service by addressing customer needs and ensuring everyone leaves with a smile
  • Maintain Quality: Uphold high standards for beverage quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Compliance: Ensure your team is trained on health and safety regulations, licensing, and Challenge 25 protocols
  • Collaborate: Work with festival organizers to ensure smooth coordination, bar performance, and overall event success
  • Foster Team Spirit: Build a motivated and positive work environment where everyone thrives

Requirements

  • Experience in bar management or hospitality - bonus if you’ve worked at festivals or large-scale events
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to different bar setups and fast-paced event environments
  • Knowledge of stock management, customer service, and licensing regulations
  • Must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts
  • Must be able to make your own way to and from, as late as 23.00pm/00.00am, each Venue (British Summertime, Hyde Park & All Points East, Victoria Park)
  • Must be available for all dates listed to be considered for this years festival season

  • Ensure operational efficiency by consistently meeting budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Monitor labor costs and the bar’s overall budget
  • Maximize bar profitability and maintain effective controls, developing and implementing cost-saving and profit enhancement measures
  • Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures for the management team. Revise procedures as needed based on experience and sound judgment to accommodate unusual situations
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and short/long-term financial operating plans for the bar
  • Open and/or close the Bar daily according to established standards and guidelines
  • Follow and enforce cash handling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Assist Management with any tasks necessary for successful Bar operations
