Job Description:

Redcape Hospitality is looking for a Bar Manager at Flagstone Tavern — a high-volume venue where strong operators own bar operations, set the pace, and drive execution through every service. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the bar, control service flow, and keep the team performing consistently during high-volume trade, with strong support from an experienced Venue Manager who actively develops their leaders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Run bar operations during service
  • Lead, coach and support your team on shift
  • Own beverage quality, stock control and beer systems
  • Maintain service speed, standards and guest experience during busy trade
  • Support promotions and beverage activations
  • Manage stock, labour and compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • Bar leadership experience in a busy pub or high-volume venue
  • Strong understanding of stock control and service operations
  • Hands-on leader who is present and engaged during service
  • Ability to coach, support and bring a team together on shift
  • Calm, steady and consistent under pressure
  • Current RSA and RSG or willingness to obtain

  • Uphold the highest standards of food and beverage quality, guest service, cost control, and consistency, aligning with company expectations and ensuring compliance with all city, state, and federal laws
  • Ensure operational efficiency by consistently meeting budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Monitor labor costs and the bar’s overall budget
  • Maximize bar profitability and maintain effective controls, developing and implementing cost-saving and profit enhancement measures
  • Develop and implement operating standards, policies, and procedures for the management team. Revise procedures as needed based on experience and sound judgment to accommodate unusual situations
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and short/long-term financial operating plans for the bar
  • Open and/or close the Bar daily according to established standards and guidelines
  • Follow and enforce cash handling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Assist Management with any tasks necessary for successful Bar operations
  • Lead the entire Bar team through overseeing and participating in hiring, training, supervision, management, coaching, counseling, and evaluation
