Job Responsibility:

  • Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area
  • retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area
  • sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
  • ensures beer taps are working properly
  • places appropriate bar snacks on counter and keeps supplies stocked throughout shift
  • assists in opening and closing side work as assigned
  • buses tables in bar area
  • helps ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas by washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors
  • sweeps and mops service areas including floor mats
  • ensures rubbish is removed from Levy areas
  • interacts with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
  • locks up and stores all bar food and beverage products and equipment
  • performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
  • keeps work area clean and organized
  • rotates stock using the FIFO method and reports near out of date items to the warehouse
  • performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Lift push pull up to 165 lbs
  • exposure to hot and cold environments
  • standing for long periods of time
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • positive attitude and friendliness
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • understanding of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • basic knowledge of bar operations
  • willingness to learn and adhere to company policies and procedures
