Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking an experienced Bar & Lounge Manager | Gaming Operations to lead and manage one of Broadbeach’s most beloved local institutions, TC's Bar and Gaming Lounge, with oversite to the hotel's newly relaunched Room81 Lounge. Overseeing our bar, lounge and gaming space, you will create an energetic yet refined environment where hotel guests and local regulars come together to relax, socialise and enjoy exceptional service. This role blends strong hospitality leadership with operational precision - balancing memorable guest experiences with commercial performance and compliance within a regulated gaming environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the bar, lounge and gaming venue, ensuring smooth and professional service delivery
  • Oversee bar service, gaming operations, Keno and entertainment offerings within the venue
  • Act as the Gaming Nominee, ensuring full compliance with gaming, liquor and venue regulations
  • Maintain responsible service of alcohol and responsible gambling standards at all times
  • Drive a strong service culture, leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team
  • Manage labour costs, inventory, budgets and venue performance to support sustainable profitability
  • Deliver an engaging and consistently high-quality experience for both hotel guests and local patrons
  • Bring the hotel’s food and beverage vision to life through elevated service standards and guest engagement
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure menu offerings and service align with brand expectations
  • Support venue promotions and activations in partnership with the Marketing team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading a bar, lounge or hospitality venue
  • Exposure to gaming operations or regulated hospitality environments is highly regarded
  • A strong understanding of Queensland liquor and gaming compliance, or the capability to develop this knowledge quickly
  • Experience acting in, or readiness to step into, a compliance-responsible role such as Gaming Nominee or Approved Manager
  • The ability to lead, coach and develop teams while fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability
  • Strong commercial awareness including labour management, cost control and interpreting venue performance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with guests, team members and stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with venue trading hours
  • Hold or be willing to obtain required licences including RSA, RSG, RMLV, CLO and Approved Manager accreditation
  • Full Australian working rights are required for this role with the ability to work an average of 38 hours per week
