The Banquets Waiter is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, weddings, and special events, in line with Four Seasons standards of excellence. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment while ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
Job Responsibility:
Set up, service, and break down banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders, floor plans, and Four Seasons standards
Serve food and beverages during banquets, meetings, weddings, and special events in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner
Have thorough knowledge of banquet menus, beverage offerings, and event-specific service styles
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to requests during events
Take ownership of guest concerns and act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when issues arise
Maintain close communication with the Banquets Captain, Supervisor, and culinary team to ensure flawless event execution
Accurately follow service sequences, timing, and presentation standards during plated, buffet, and cocktail-style events
Assist with plate service, food and beverage preparation, and tray service as required
Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of banquet areas, service stations, and back-of-house spaces throughout the event
Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and food handling standards at all times
Requirements:
An energetic, professional, and team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of service
One to two years of experience in banquets, events, or Food & Beverage service, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment
Strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event schedules and guest needs
Solid knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including plated and buffet service
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a large team
Experience using F&B systems and handling POS equipment where applicable
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow event specifications accurately
A polished and professional appearance aligned with luxury brand standards
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage or Banquets service
Professional / Technician qualification preferred
Spanish and English required
