Job Description:

Banquets Server position at Delta Hotels Bessborough preparing and serving food and beverages for banquet events, maintaining service areas, and providing excellent guest service according to Marriott standards.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages
Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to kitchen
Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed
Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness
Monitor tableware to ensure presentability
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station
Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware
Follow company safety and security policies
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Maintain uniform and personal appearance
Welcome and acknowledge all guests
Anticipate and address guests' service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak using clear and professional language
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations
Read and visually verify information in various formats

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Less than 1 year related work experience
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
