Job Description:

The Banquets Porter role involves cleaning, setting up, maintaining, and organizing banquet areas and equipment. The position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and physical capabilities. The role is part-time and located at The St. Regis Toronto under the Marriott International brand.

Job Responsibility:

Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room and returning equipment
complete closing duties such as storing reusable goods and locking doors
set up, stock, and maintain work areas
monitor and ensure cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station and service areas
assist other departments to ensure guest service quality
handle, transport, and restock linens
comply with safety and security policies and report issues
welcome and address guest needs professionally
read and verify information in various formats
perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects over 75 pounds with assistance
ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
ability to follow safety and security policies
strong communication and teamwork skills
professional appearance and ability to maintain confidentiality.
