The Banquets Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all banquet events within the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless execution. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage a team, maintain high standards of service, and work closely with other departments such as Sales, Culinary, and Events Coordination.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of banquet operations from setup to breakdown, ensuring timely and efficient service
Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff
Coordinate with the kitchen and catering teams to ensure accurate food and beverage service aligned with guest expectations
Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and conduct pre-event meetings to confirm event details
Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies
ensure proper care and storage
Manage banquet budget and control costs while maintaining high service standards
Collaborate with the sales and events teams to improve event offerings and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
Fluency in Spanish and English is required for this position
A minimum of three (3) years working as Banquet Manager or similar role as a department head
Two (2) + years’ experience working within a luxury hotel or similar environment is considered an asset
Requires Knowledge in Micros and Opera System
Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
Basic understanding of financials (e.g. labor cost, P&L, inventory)
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requires knowledge of how to operate computer equipment
