Job Description:

Banquets Houseperson position at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, responsible for maintaining banquet facilities, cleaning function rooms, handling equipment, and ensuring guest satisfaction through proper service standards and team support.

Job Responsibility:

Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning rooms and returning equipment
Complete closing duties including storing goods and locking doors
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned station
Transport dirty linen to cleaning area and restock clean linens
Maintain cleanliness throughout the day using clean-as-you-go procedures
Assist other departments to ensure optimum guest service
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Support team to reach common goals
Read and visually verify information in various formats

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to lift objects over 75 pounds with assistance
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to navigate stairs and service ramps
Ability to reach overhead and below knees with bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
