Job Description:

Banquets Houseman position at Lido House Autograph Collection, part of Marriott International's portfolio of independent hotels offering unique experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning room and returning equipment
  • Complete closing duties including storing reusable goods, locking doors, breaking down goods
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
  • Transport dirty linen to cleaning area, separate napkins from tablecloths, restock clean linens
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout day using clean-as-you-go procedures
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum guest service
  • Follow all company and safety policies
  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire shift
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ≤50 lbs without assistance and >75 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up/down stairs/ramps
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats
