Job Description

Banquets Housekeeper position at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, responsible for post-event cleanup, equipment handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards while providing excellent guest service.

Job Responsibility

  • Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room and returning equipment
  • Complete closing duties including storing goods and locking doors
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas
  • Transport dirty linen to cleaning area and restock clean linens
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • Assist other departments when needed
  • Follow all company and safety policies
  • Report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training
  • Ensure uniform and appearance are professional
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests
  • Anticipate guest service needs
  • Speak using clear professional language
  • Support team goals
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Read and verify information in various formats
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs alone and over 75 lbs with assistance
