Job Description:

Banquet Set Up position at Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach involving function breakdown, cleaning, equipment handling, and guest service support.

Job Responsibility:

Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room and returning equipment
Complete closing duties including storing goods and locking doors
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned station
Transport dirty linen to cleaning area and restock clean linens
Maintain cleanliness throughout the day
Assist other departments when needed
Follow all company and safety policies
Report accidents and unsafe conditions
Complete safety training
Ensure uniform and appearance are professional
Maintain confidentiality
Welcome and acknowledge guests
Address guests' service needs
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak using clear professional language
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality standards
Read and visually verify information
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry objects up to 50 pounds alone and over 75 pounds with assistance
Manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
Move over uneven surfaces and stairs
Reach overhead and below knees including bending and stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
