The Set-Up Attendant is responsible for the physical preparation and breakdown of all meeting rooms, ballrooms, and event spaces for banquets, conferences, and special events at Dellshire Resort. This position ensures that all rooms are arranged accurately according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and resort standards, creating a professional and welcoming environment for every guest experience. The Set-Up Attendant contributes to the success of each function through attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.
Job Responsibility:
Set up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, podiums, and other equipment per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor diagrams
Ensure all meeting and banquet rooms are clean, organized, and properly equipped before guest arrival
Move, lift, and position furniture and equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect all areas for cleanliness, damage, and functionality before, during, and after events
Communicate with Banquet Captains and Managers regarding last-minute changes or additional setup needs
Maintain cleanliness of storage rooms and ensure equipment is returned to proper areas after each event
Replace linens, skirting, and coverings as needed throughout the event
Assist with quick room turns between events to meet tight timelines
Follow all safety and lifting procedures to prevent injury or property damage
Report any damaged equipment or maintenance needs promptly
Uphold the Dellshire standard of professionalism, presentation, and teamwork
Requirements:
Previous experience in event or banquet setup preferred
Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans accurately
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift, move, and transport heavy objects safely
Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
