The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering professional, efficient, and friendly service during banquets, events, meetings, and special functions. The role ensures guests enjoy a high-quality dining experience in line with the event requirements and service standards.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the setup of banquet venues according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
Prepare tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and equipment
Ensure cleanliness, proper layout, and presentation of the event space
Serve food and beverages professionally during banquets, conferences, and events
Follow assigned service styles (plated, buffet, cocktail, family-style)
Maintain proper service etiquette, timing, and portion control
Refill beverages, clear tables efficiently, and respond promptly to guest requests
Greet guests politely and provide courteous, attentive service
Anticipate guest needs and handle requests or concerns professionally
Report guest feedback or issues to the Banquet Supervisor
Work closely with supervisors, kitchen, stewarding, and fellow servers
Follow instructions during pre-function briefings and event execution
Support teammates to ensure smooth and coordinated service
Follow hygiene, food safety, and health & safety regulations at all times
Handle equipment, food, and beverages safely and responsibly
Maintain grooming, uniform, and personal hygiene standards
Assist with clearing, cleaning, and resetting the venue after events
Properly store equipment, linen, and supplies
Report any damages, breakages, or shortages
Requirements:
Has 1 -2 years of relevant experience in 5 star hotels/resorts or reputable stand alone restaurants
Possesses aptitude and upward mobility
Technical education in Hospitality Management is preferred
Basic wine knowledge preferred
