The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events and functions. This role focuses on ensuring a positive guest experience through attentive service, professionalism, and attention to detail. Banquet Servers work closely with the Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager, and other event staff to ensure smooth setup, service, and breakdown of events.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, China, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event
Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads
Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc
Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary
Prepare tables with place settings as instructed
Establish and maintain positive client relationships
Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event
Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area
Requirements:
High School degree/GED or equivalent is required
At least one years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment
Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
Must adhere to local Food Codes
Must have good oral, customer service and interpersonal skills
Must have attention to detail
Must be results and self-driven
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. to the waste
Daily lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs. up to 10 minutes at a time
Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
