The Banquet Server serves guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods. This includes each selection's, origin, taste, and preparation method
have a passion for food and wine and exceptional service
Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table
Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen
Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
Greet guests in a professional manner and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order
Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Plate, prepare and serve food
Assist with set-up and breakdown of banquet events
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Some travel may be required
Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage service
Strong oral presentation skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding events
Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations
Legal work authorization in the United States required
