The Banquet Server is responsible for providing food and beverage service during events such as weddings, conferences, galas, and corporate functions. This role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibility:
Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor
Set up banquet tables, place settings, and service stations according to event specifications
Serve food and beverages efficiently and promptly
Clear dishes, glassware, and utensils between courses and post-meal
Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout service
Follow banquet event orders (BEOs) and directions from supervisors
Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including resetting rooms
Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests or concerns
Work closely with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
Comply with all food safety and sanitation standards
Perform side work and closing duties and all other assigned duties
Requirements:
Previous banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional appearance and attitude
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Required to work at least 2 to 3 shifts in a month, including weekends
TIPS or ServSafe and Food Handle cards
Prolong periods of standing
Prolong periods of walking between the kitchen, event space, and guest tables
Carrying heavy trays with multiple plates or glasses on a regular basis between 30 to 50+ pounds
Moving quickly under time pressure
Walking through banquet halls or kitchens without bumping into people or objects
