The Banquet Server is responsible for the server activities for the Foodservice Department, Groesbeck Golf Course and Legends Global sponsored/managed events and properties. The Banquet Server shall ensure that all services are provided in a professional, efficient, effective, and timely manner. The Banquet Server is responsible for providing superior experience and service to the customers, guests and vendors of the Lansing Center, Groesbeck Golf Course and Legends Global sponsored/managed events and properties. Banquet Server will adhere to the policies and procedures designed to promote efficiency of operation and quality of service.
Job Responsibility:
Handle all aspects of banquet event setup, including linens, service ware, place settings, tables, condiments, centerpieces, and buffet arrangements, as well as teardown and cleanup
Provide professional and timely service by setting up, transporting, and serving food and beverages while ensuring work areas are clean and compliant with health, safety, and departmental standards
Deliver an excellent dining experience by serving and clearing courses, replenishing utensils and beverages, and meeting guest needs according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
Set up, monitor, refresh, and break down beverage stations, food stations, receptions, and buffets
Promptly report client or guest issues to supervisors
Perform closing duties while preparing for future events
Perform periodic cleaning tasks
Support a safe and harassment-free work environment
Adhere to Legends Global policies and applicable laws
Participate in pre-shift meetings
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of banquet areas
Handle cash properly
Follow the departmental dress code
Support special events
Maintain knowledge of all relevant policies, procedures, safety rules, health codes, and regulations, including those specific to the Foodservice Department
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent GED
Serving experience in the Food Service industry preferred, preferably experience in volume banquet service in a convention center, stadium or other public assembly facility
Ability to interact positively with others in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner
