The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet and event service operations to ensure flawless execution, exceptional guest satisfaction, and adherence to Dellshire Resort’s luxury standards. This role manages day-to-day event setups, staffing, service delivery, and communication between departments to create memorable experiences for group, corporate, and social functions.
Job Responsibility:
Direct and supervise all banquet service operations including setup, execution, and breakdown of events
Ensure all events are executed in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and resort standards
Lead and coach banquet captains, servers, and setup teams to provide professional, courteous, and anticipatory service
Collaborate closely with the Culinary, Conference Services, and Audio-Visual teams to coordinate all event details
Review daily and weekly BEOs
communicate changes and expectations to staff through pre-shift meetings and event briefings
Monitor event progress to ensure timely service, accurate room setups, and guest satisfaction
Maintain inventory and oversee proper use, storage, and maintenance of banquet equipment and supplies
Manage labor costs, staffing schedules, and payroll to align with business forecasts
Uphold all safety, sanitation, and service standards in compliance with resort policies and state regulations
Handle guest feedback and resolve service challenges promptly and professionally
Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and monthly departmental reporting
Support the Director of Banquets & Convention Services with training, development, and performance management of banquet staff
Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years of banquet or event service management experience in a luxury resort, convention center, or upscale hospitality environment required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage large-scale events and multiple functions simultaneously
Working knowledge of BEO processes, event logistics, and POS systems
Ability to interpret floor plans and coordinate complex room setups
Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
