We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This role is integral to the success of our banquet and catering operations, supporting a wide variety of conferences, weddings, and special events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality cuisine.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Chef and culinary leadership team in the production and execution of food for banquet and group events
Accurately interpret and execute recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
Prepare ingredients including chopping, peeling, portioning, and cooking
Set up and break down workstations with required ingredients and equipment
Minimize food waste through proper organization, portion control, and cross-utilization
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of food and supplies
Be accountable for the quality, timing, and presentation of all prepared dishes
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards
Requirements:
Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume banquet or catering kitchen is essential
Strong ability to follow recipes and written instructions precisely
Excellent knife skills and knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
Demonstrated commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong organizational and time management skills
