Job Description

The Banquet Cook 2 at Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville supports the culinary operation by preparing high-quality food for banquet events, outlets, and employee dining. This role is ideal for a driven culinary professional with a passion for craftsmanship, consistency, and continued growth in a luxury hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare consistent, high-quality food items for banquet events, restaurant outlets, and the employee dining room following approved recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Complete mise en place and properly set up stations for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
  • Prepare food items in advance while ensuring production aligns with estimated needs to minimize waste
  • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Ensure all food items are properly dated, labeled, stored, and rotated in accordance with Department of Health and Four Seasons standards
  • Monitor food cost controls by minimizing waste, loss, and improper usage
  • Maintain strict sanitation and food safety standards, including proper temperature control of perishable items
  • Work collaboratively as part of the culinary team to support smooth kitchen operations

Requirements

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of culinary or related kitchen experience
  • Strong knife skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours
