Support the preparation and execution of banquet culinary/kitchen operations, working closely with Sales and Event Planning teams, as well as Food & Beverage associates, to deliver exceptional dining experiences for every event
Contribute to a wide range of kitchen responsibilities, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
Assist the banquet kitchen during busy service periods, maintaining efficient workflow and supporting seamless coordination with service teams to deliver an outstanding guest experience
Support the preparation and execution of banquet menus in line with event requirements and standards
Assist in the production and plating of dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards across all kitchen areas
Support mise en place and ensure timely preparation for all banquet services
Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines as directed
Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimising food wastage
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Support the kitchen team during high-volume service periods to maintain workflow
Contribute to a positive and professional team environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar kitchen or banquet environment (hotel experience desirable)
Basic understanding of large-scale food production and event service
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
Team-oriented with a positive and reliable attitude
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
Good time management and organisational skills
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
