Lead Exceptional Events in Paradise! Located on the tip of Captiva Island along Florida’s Gulf Coast, South Seas delivers unforgettable events surrounded by 2.5 miles of pristine beaches and breathtaking sunsets. Our Banquet team plays a critical role in creating seamless, elevated experiences for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead banquet team members during assigned events, ensuring smooth execution and service excellence
  • Serve as the on-site liaison between Catering, Culinary, and operational teams
  • Conduct pre-event staff briefings to review event details, timelines, and service expectations
  • Oversee event set-up, ensuring room diagrams, décor, and table settings meet specifications
  • Maintain quality control of food and beverage presentation and timing
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues professionally and promptly
  • Ensure compliance with company grooming, safety, and service standards
  • Maintain required certifications, including Alcohol Awareness and ServSafe (as required)
  • Monitor team performance and provide direction to maintain efficiency and professionalism
  • Complete post-event breakdown and ensure proper reset and storage procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of banquet service experience in a hotel, resort, or upscale event environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations and service standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Professional demeanor and polished guest interaction skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
