Job Responsibility

  • Supervise banquet staff in the execution of assigned functions and event setup
  • Oversee service operations and breakdown activities
  • Check server and houseperson banquet event orders
  • Ensure room set-up follows banquet event order directions
  • Establish communication with group representatives
  • Communicate banquet event order changes to catering or convention services office
  • Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes and time schedules
  • Verify staffing levels for next day's functions
  • Operate as banquet server when needed
  • Inspect banquet areas at end of function
  • Post all banquet checks at end of day
  • Comply with attendance rules
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Ability to meet standards of appearance
  • Can communicate well with guests
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift
  • Must be willing to pitch-in and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player
