The Bartender is responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks, as well as serving beer and other beverages, and completing transactions; communicating potential problems to the manager on duty and the servers as necessary; providing the highest quality of service to customers and associates at all times; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
Job Responsibility:
Greets customers and takes drink order
provides information about products
Follows company recipes and product directions for mixing beverages
Collects payments and operates cash registers for drinks and/or food served following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions
secures all monies at the end of each shift
Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests
Follows all customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures
Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar
Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Minimum 3 years+ of experience in full-service, fine dining restaurant
Must be able to stand and work 8 hour shifts
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Must be available to work minimum of one shift on Sundays and two shifts per week
Must possess strong leadership and organizational qualities
Must possess a strong interest in food, wine and cocktails
Customer service oriented attitude with strong hospitality skills
Able to work flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and continuously
Nice to have:
High School diploma or equivalent
General Wine Knowledge of common varietals
Common cocktail knowledge and order taking abilities
