Job Description:

The Banquet Barback supports banquet beverage operations by assisting bartenders with setup, restocking, and maintenance of portable bars during banquets, receptions, and special events at Dellshire Resort. This position plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring efficient, organized, and seamless bar service. The Banquet Barback upholds the resort’s high standards of hospitality through teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet bars in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout events
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and beverage stations
  • Ensure portable bars are fully equipped and operational before event start times
  • Replace kegs, empty trash, and replenish ice as needed during service
  • Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, organizing backstock, and refilling beverage products
  • Transport beverages, glassware, and equipment safely between storage areas and event spaces
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with post-event cleanup and restocking
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
  • Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the Banquet Manager or Captain
  • Provide courteous assistance to guests and team members while representing the Dellshire brand with professionalism

Requirements:

  • Previous barback or banquet support experience preferred
  • hospitality or event experience a plus
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy items safely and efficiently
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule
