Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Support Specialist to assist our local client on a contract basis. This position requires organization, precision, and adherence to legal frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy documentation, including petitions, schedules, statements, and motions, in compliance with federal and local bankruptcy laws
Monitor and track case progress, deadlines, and communications with courts, attorneys, and creditors
Serve as the point of contact for inquiries pertaining to bankruptcy filings and provide timely updates to stakeholders
Maintain detailed and organized electronic records to ensure proper case management and accessibility by all relevant parties
Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and trustees to execute processes related to bankruptcy cases successfully
Stay informed about updates in bankruptcy laws and court procedures
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with organizational policies

Requirements:

Proven experience in bankruptcy case management or a related legal support role (e.g., paralegal, legal assistant)
Familiarity with Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy processes
Proficiency in utilizing Case Management/E-filing software such as CM/ECF or similar platforms
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Strong understanding of legal language, terminology, and federal/state regulatory compliance
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
