Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join the team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role is with a major law firm in Delaware and operates on a hybrid schedule. This role supports a very collaborative team of attorneys and paralegals in Wilmington. A very inclusive culture with extensive benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and notices, for bankruptcy cases
File documents electronically using CM/ECF systems for Bankruptcy, District Court, and Third Circuit Court of Appeals
Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and assist attorneys in preparing for hearings
Communicate effectively with attorneys, creditors, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases
Provide support in managing discovery and trial preparation processes
Monitor case progress and ensure all filings comply with court requirements
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver high-quality service to clients and co-counsel

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, with knowledge of Chapters 11 or 7 cases
Proficiency in electronic filing systems, including CM/ECF, for Bankruptcy, District Court, Circuit Courts
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Legal Research tools
