Job Description

An AmLaw 100 firm — is seeking a experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join the Wilmington, DE office. This is a high-impact role supporting sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters, offering exposure to complex Chapter 11 cases and a collaborative, national platform.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of bankruptcy case support from filing through resolution in federal and state courts
  • Prepare, file, and serve pleadings via CM/ECF and File & ServeXpress, ensuring strict compliance with court rules
  • Draft and coordinate key filings including first-day pleadings, petitions, schedules & SOFAs, fee applications, motions, briefs, and proofs of claim
  • Support complex Chapter 11 matters, including maintaining service lists, tracking deadlines, and managing case calendars
  • Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, Lexis, and public records sources
  • Handle UCC, lien, and real property searches
  • analyze and compile findings for attorneys
  • Manage discovery, including document collection, organization, and response preparation
  • Prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials
  • provide on-the-ground support to attorneys as needed
  • Interface with clients, creditors, trustees, and opposing counsel in a detail oriented, responsive manner

Requirements

  • 5+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience in a mid-to-large law firm environment
  • Strong experience with federal court filings, including PACER and CM/ECF (File & ServeXpress a plus)
  • Deep familiarity with bankruptcy procedures, filings, and deadlines in complex matters
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
