Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our team in the legal industry, located in Miami, Florida. As a Bankruptcy Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in handling insolvency and commercial litigation cases. Your main duties will include processing legal documents, managing client communication, and ensuring efficient case management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage client cases in bankruptcy (Chapters 7 and 11, including Subchapter V) procedures effectively
  • Process and review client documents for insolvency analysis accurately
  • Administer bankruptcy filings and maintain precise records
  • Use E-discovery document review platforms for document production and review
  • Coordinate with federal courts for litigation processes, scheduling hearings, and meeting deadlines
  • Use case management software for efficient tracking of cases and deadlines
  • Operate PACER filing and other document management systems
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and track billable time
  • Maintain detail-oriented communication with clients, co-workers, opposing counsel, and court staff
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite/Adobe and other software for various tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Aderant software
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
  • Experience with Case Management Software
  • Knowledge of CompuLaw software
  • Able to handle Billing Functions effectively
  • Skilled in Briefing and presenting cases
  • Proficient in Calendar Management
  • Experience in Claim Administration
  • Exceptional Communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of Bankruptcy Law
