Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a highly qualified attorney to join its sophisticated national Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation practice in Wilmington, DE. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collegial environment of a national law firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, restructuring, and/or creditors’ rights litigation
  • Focusing on corporate restructurings, including debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11 cases and Chapter 9 municipal insolvencies, as well as distressed asset acquisitions and restructurings both in and out-of-court

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, restructuring, and/or creditors’ rights litigation
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Active bar license in Delaware

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders throughout the life of each case
  • Contribute to continuity of client matters during the senior partner’s transition toward retirement while maintaining consistent service and representation
